Seems that even though I'm not home, someone else feels completely at home there - a family of raccoons:
And quoting the email from hubby:
"Big Mama was not happy - she went after the handler!
PU!"
Not to worry folks, everybody - raccoons and handler - is well.

Every once in a while, I see a fox running through my back yard. The first time I saw it, I thought, "That is the weirdest looking dog I have ever seen!"
They're a pain, but they're so darn cute! We live in a rural area. Regularly, I see deer, coyotes, racoons, groundhogs, skunks, voles, bunnies, partridges, swans, geese, ducks, owls and even a peacock once (probably escaped a farm). We're also near a conservation area so we get a lot of unique species of birds.
Hope you're having a nice weekend!
Fred, confusing a fox with a dog? :)
Nienke, wow, you're so lucky.
I don't know if I'd say 'cute' about raccoons. Maybe from a distance. Usually I find them quite vicious and not afraid of humans.
Well, a fox is not what I would call a common place animal where I live.
Oh, okay then :)
Toronto has many many raccoons. I always see them.
Jennifer, you're so lucky. I love it when we go up north and see all the deer and all that, but deep in the heart of T.O. it's only raccoons, squirrels and skunks for us.
