Just as I finished writing my previous post and clicked on published, another siren went off. Like I said, usually the afternoon is busier.
My mom was nodding off and the siren scared her so she nearly fainted. She's fine now.

Melly, stay safe. We're thinking of you and praying for a quick resolution to the carnage.
Thanks Kathleen. We hope for that too indeed.
Hi Melly,
This is the second blog i've ever left--being brand new to it after being drawn in by finding your site a few weeks ago. After being a quiet observer and then trying to figure out where/how to go about setting up my own site (trying to learn HTML even), i had not visited you in a while. Today i return to try to figure out how to create a link to your impressive and inspiring work and i become heavy in my chair, asking myself, "what have i missed," back-tracking the dates of your writings, reading in horror, and my heart that was already filled with uncertainty and fear for lands far away, reaches. I can see you hugging your mom, her hugging you and i who don’t know either of you see myself in spirit hugging you both.
Warm hugs,
Edie
—p.s. i don’t even know if i can publish this to your blog—
I just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and hope you stay safe.
Hang in there, Melly.

Edie, thank you very much. Your comment has really touched me when I read it a few days ago.
Jack, Michael - thanks.
