Last night, after not playing for over a year, the Leafs finally hit the ice.
I was sure I'd be glued to the TV along with some friends and some bottled companions, but guess what, we forgot.
Serves them right anyways.
No worries, I'm sure that on those cold winter weekends I'll be back watching hockey like a good little Canadian.

I am soooo excited! Hockey Rocks!!!
Go Sens! ooops sorry Go Leafs! LOL
That's okay, if anything I'm more of a Canucks fan, Vancouver being my home town and all...
I always liked the Habs too, but I'm curious to see what Lindros would do as a Leaf.
I'm a huge hockey fan - always have been. The Sens are my team, being in Ottawa and all, and like any good Sens fan I love to Leaf-bash! (One day we'll beat them in the playoffs...no, really, it'll happen...someday.)
Lindros as a Leaf: My crystal ball sees concussions.
Go Bruins :) hehehe I like hockey, but not glued to it. My true love is baseball :)
When the Canucks had their amazing run to the final in 94, they beat the Leafs in the Western Conference final (The Leafs were in the western conference back then, before all the expansions). Anyways, that was a lot of fun.
For some reason, beating the Leafs is special. One day it will happen to the Sens I'm sure :)
I stole this from a hockey card...
Jennifer, the Bruins, I'm impressed. Along with the Leafs, they were among the original six + Don Cherry coached them.
If you don't know, Don has a god-like status in Canada
Well, we beat them last night - too bad it didn't count for anything.
You've covered all the bases on the hockey post - trivia, Don Cherry, and the obligatory Fifty-Mission Cap reference. Man, I'm glad it's back.
Cavan, glad you approve :)
Josh, google it and learn all the rules. There will be a quiz next time you're here!
Are you a Capitals fan by any chance?
You go to a Stars game with your bro, Josh, and then tell me what you think. Can't compare to baseball really. Two very different things.
Mr. Hockey melly. Gotta love 'im!
Watch out Don...
