Mission Control Center - Houston, Texas

I think that without a doubt I had the best time (tied with rock climbing) when I visited NASA. I mean, I stood face to face with an actual Mercury capsule and the actual Gemini V. How much more can anyone ask for???

So you wanted pics, but I have too many. I'll choose two:

What goes in, which in this case includes mac and cheese, spinach dip, strawberries and coffee with cream:

Must Come out:

Incidentally, I've been over at Carter's blog yesterday and turns out that I'm Wesley Crusher. Fitting, I'd say, yet still very embarrassing and I refuse to put his pic up!

From the quiz - Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?:

Wesley Crusher
A brilliant learner with a knack for almost everything, you choose to spend your efforts in the pursuit of travels that extend your own potential.
Maybe I am sick of following rules and regulations!

Wesley is a character in the Star Trek universe. STARTREK.COM has a character biography.

Great post. Nice sequence of Pictures, lol! That made me laugh.

I turned out to be James T. Kirk. Pretty cool.

Thanks.
Somehow, the sequence just came naturally, you know what I mean? ;)

Kirk? You're Kirk? Lucky! That's a cool character to be. And Carter was Yoda, also cool. Only me was the geek reincarnate!

Great pics, Melly!

I haven't read the other characters yet, but I turned out to be Gandalf.

Gandalf???
Gandalf?
How cool is that!

I protest! How did I end up with Wesley?!

Oh, and thanks :)

I know! I was just as surprised.

No, no surprise there. I don't know about danger, but I know how much you take upon yourself. So there!
As for Gandalf being dangerous, hmmm, you tell me. Should I start shivering? ;)

LOL! Me dangerous? Nah!

LOL! I'm Raistlin Majere. Raistlin is the usually bad wizard in the Dragonlance books. He has ocassional moments when he works for good, but in the end he's bad to the bone.

Danger Deb :)

Pat - who???
Raistlin Majere??? Never heard o'him.
Still, sounds way cooler than Wesley!

Data for me.
A controlled personality with a vast range of skills and behavior, you are often intrigued by the people and places surrounding you.

In the strictest sense, I did not win -- I busted him up.

Data? You???
Actually, with that quote it makes sense :)

Maybe Data with a few beers in him.

Data did get drunk in one of the episodes if I recall correctly (oh, gosh, I'm revealing my Star Trek nerdiness), but I don't think he behaved like you.

But you know what, your post about the guy who got stood up totally shows your intrigue with people around you, and your making fun of him, you machine like coldness :)
Data incarnate!

Gina, you're so lucky.
The wise Galadriel. Ahhh, what I would give to be her :)
And yes, gotta keep an eye on Pat. Absolutely!

WESLEY?! Poor you :-). I'm Susan Ivanova from Babylon 5. That series is even cooler than Star Trek - I have Babylon 5 videos but no Star Trek ones, though I'm an ST fan too.

BTW, Pat - don't tell me Raistlin was bad to the bone - I've not finished those books yet!!!

Diddums, way to rub salt into my already wounded ego ;(

I've actually never watched B5. I heard it's good though. Maybe on the next re-run I'll catch it.

As for Pat, you tell her! :)

Babylon 5 highly recommended - I love those characters. G'kar is one of my favourites.

I started reading the Dragonlance books (with Raistlin) 20 years ago! Somewhere along the way I lost the thread - wasn't sure which book I was supposed to read next. I still remember Raistlin, though, and others such as Tasslehoff Burrfoot. Some of the descriptions were colourful - there's even one I noticed for Raistlin - I remembered the passage (though can't quote it!) Vivid imagery.

Maybe I'll rent the DVDs then if it comes so highly recommended.
