Back to Blog Writing

Sorry, I said Tuesday but meant Thursday...

I'm back home finally after a very long stretch.

As far as my writing is concerned I had some setbacks, such as the demise of my laptop, but I also had some successes. Most notably was my ability to actually write while away, something I found difficult to do up until this last 'away mission'.

I came home to a new monitor, which I'm happy to report is a slick, flat and black 17'' LCD monitor. Things like this make me very happy.

However, I also came home to a chilly weather, which of course everyone blames me for. Apparently it was hovering around 10c-15c (50F-60F) until I arrived. It dropped to zero (32F) and below the day I arrived. Needless to say I don't believe them. They must be lying. It can't be. Not to mention it really can't be me. I couldn't have such influence over the weather... or could I?

This weather, in any event, made me sick so this post is it for today. But I'm looking forward to visiting you all next.

I love really cold weather.

Where I grew up we had -30 below F many nights. Loved it.

Here, where I live now, we just get sorta cold, slushy, damp, dismal . . .

I can't go on.

Glad you're back.

Welcome back, Melly. :) We've been having some unusually warm weather out here. It's been in the high 70s all week.

Hope you beat your bug quickly.

Welcome back. Ah, it all makes sense now, Tuesday the 16th realy means Thursday the 17th. Nothing like giving yourself a comfortable three-day window.

Love those flat screen monitors. I spurged on a truly sinful 24" a few months ago.

Hope you feel much better soon.

No, Paul, hang in there... :)
You're so lucky you like the cold. Me? just give me 30c all the time and I'm happy.

Lance, judging from the picture when you visited here (and I'm so close to the beaches), you and your family are going to have the best of time despite the weather :)

Thanks rdl. It's nothing, just a little cold but it's very annoying because I was holding a record time of nearly two years without having even one sniffle...

Thanks Deborah and I hope that warm weather stays there for you.

That's much too funny Jean. I didn't even notice until you mention it. Oh,well, that's me - sly in and out without even noticing :)
24''??? Wow, that's a TV, not a monitor...

Thanks Trée - huge, but really huge smile :)

:) You know I have a friend who affects the weather too! Every time she comes to visit she brings snow. Seriously! If she visits anytime Nov. thru April it'll snow!

Are you ready for snow!!! The cold weather is definitely coming. It arrived here too.

Neato. The monitor sounds cool. When my monitor started spewing smoke, the husband got a replacement at the local school district's suplus sale. It' okay, but it ain't no flat screen.

Jennifer, that's too funny, and unfortunately, really, only too true. Maybe you should introduce us and together we'll wreak havoc over the world.

And no! I'm definitely not ready for the snow. I'm never ready.

Pat, a flat screen is just a different quality of life I tell ya. Next big purchase - a must.
